What Does Your Business Map Look Like?

There are thousands of different industries and over 6 billion people across the world. But, no matter who you are or which industry you have chosen, business is always the common denominator. You are constantly dealing with individual goals, values, rules, choices, fears, and concerns. Uniting those people and their separate interests in a world that is constantly evolving more rapidly than any other time in our history can be quite daunting. As a business and as individuals, we also have more choices today than we ever have but don’t always know how to make the best ones.

Charles Darwin has said, “It’s not the strongest of the species that survive, not the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change.” Unfortunately, most of us just operate on autopilot and simply react to the world we have created through technology. As a result, we completely miss sights, sounds, and feelings and don’t appreciate what is happening around us. Imagine what it would be like if we focused our awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting our feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. What would happen to your business if you noticed your clients at a more profound level? How much easier would it be to meet your client’s needs if you really understood what was going on with them? How about your employees or even the most important people in your life? Imagine the possibilities and the positive changes that would be made in your life if you worked with this state of mindfulness.

Discovering problems you didn't know existed is like playing pin the tail on the donkey with your own life. Imagine going through life playing this game while you’re in a relationship. Since you are blindfolded, you may at first think things are going well but all of a sudden, BAM, you hit a wall and find out your partner has a different point of view. If you aren’t playing close enough attention, this can happen in any type of relationship?business, intimate, or client. With your own business, where would you be one year from now if you used the power of mindfulness to remove the blindfold, , and transformed problems into opportunities?
