Fill Your Classes Through Painting Your Ideal Client

One of the most important things you can do to move your gym business forward is to define who is your ideal customer. If you fail to do this, your marketing, promotion, social media, and sales efforts will not be as successful as they could be.

Market to One Customer

Most people start a gym with a pretty clear picture, i.e. “I want to start a gym for the hardcore fitness client.” But then reality sets in. This clean picture gets blurry, efforts don’t go too well, and you start getting desperate for any client to walk through the door just so you can pay your bills.
You start to do more community and social media outreach to drum up new business, but because you’re now trying to market to everyone you’re actually marketing to no one. Yes, it’s great to have a variety of people walk through your door, but if you create a marketing campaign that talks to the masses, then your message will be less likely to resonate with a singular group of people.
