Move Well First: A New Path for Coaching Fitness

One of the best things about working in the fitness industry is the constant room for growth and opportunities to learn from the best minds in the industry. As fitness professionals, we hold continuing education in high regard. We aim to continually learn and evolve into better coaches and expect the same from our peers.

One of the worst things about working in the fitness industry is the mass confusion. Professionals and the general public often fall prey to the endless search to find the “next best thing.” Over the last 15 years, I have tried just about everything and anything the industry has to offer. Figuring out what to do to produce the best results has sent us all on a rollercoaster ride.

Thankfully, the intentions behind this industry chatter are typically genuine. Coaches want to help clients achieve results, and the general public is simply looking to feel better. However, amidst the confusion is a growing need for the fitness industry to develop a common language that both professionals and consumers can understand. One that focuses on helping society move better and more often for the long haul.

A career as a coach or trainer is a never ending opportunity to learn, grow, and re-invent yourself.

You don’t get to pick the problems you solve because everyone who you come across is different: Different genders, ages, fitness levels, disposable time, disposable income, and almost always unsure of their commitment.

Here on Coaches Only we update the content regularly, we go in lots of different directions, and we engage with experts in all walks of life so long as they help coaches and trainers in pursuit of a fulfilling career.
